What are you going to do?

We are looking for a Key Account Manager Industry to join the Energy Pool team in The Netherlands, who will be responsible for developing and managing commercial partnerships with industrial energy consumers. 

Your responsibility is to help preparing industrial clients to stay competitive in the new low carbon energy system. In this system  flexibility will be key. Your main objective is to unlock flexibility from existing processes, or flexibility acquired through investments in process hybridisation and process electrification. 

Energy Pool support clients in all stages of their energy transition with a wide variety of services and solutions. From developing decarbonisation strategies, to designing future proof production processes, to project managing the deployment of new assets to 24/7 operations of process flexibility. As a partnership manager you will be responsible for the entire customer lifecycle, and be the single point of contact from establishing new relationships, to strategy- and roadmap development, settling agreements, following solution implementation, and take responsibility to deliver the value as agreed.  

Responsibilities before a commercial agreement

  • Build and manage own pipeline of prospects and projects
  • Develop the relation and develop suitable flexibility implementation roadmaps  
  • Develop value propositions, tailored to your customer needs,  supported by EP’s industrialised technology, solutions and proven trackrecord
  • Manage tenders/offers, in close collaboration with our team of international specialists
  • Represent Energy Pool locally and internationally at industry associations, conferences, seminars, trade fairs, etc

Responsibilities after a commercial agreement

  • Coordinate successful integration of new clients into the Energy pool portfolio
  • Proactively identify and propose new value streams to our partners
  • Manage realisation of service level agreements

What do you offer?

Proven commercial track record with large industrial businesses, either as account manager, consultant or energy manager.

Skills and competencies

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar
  • Strong business acumen and deep understanding of industrial processes, performance metrics and value drivers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. You can make complex things simple, and adapt your communication style to the level and role in the organisation you deal with 
  • Knowledge and interest in our changing energy system, and the macro trends impacting this
  • Consultative selling. You apply the power of asking questions, are a good listener and are able to identify deep needs before proposing solutions
  • Fluent in Dutch (native) and English
  • An existing network in the Dutch Industry is considered an advantage 
  • Business development experience in an industrial context is considered an advantage 
  • Understanding of Dutch energy markets and flexility mechanisms is considered an advantage
  • Proficiency in French is considered an advantage
  • Project Management experience is considered an advantage

  • You will be travelling much to visit prospects/partners and their production facilities. Primarily in the Netherlands

Where will you be working?
