MAN Solar Millennium

MAN Solar Millennium GmbH is a joint venture of MAN Ferrostaal and Solar Millennium for project development, turnkey construction and financing of large scale solar thermal power plants.

We catch the sun

There are few things in life that are for free. Sunlight is one of them. The energy sent to the earth by the sun is 10.000 times more than the global demand for electricity. The sunlight allows us to generate electricity entirely CO2-free. We do so in our solar power plants with the strengths of our parent companies. We are currently involved in the development and construction of several large scale CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) plants in different countries in the sun belt of the globe.

• Responsible for the development of solar thermal power plants with capacities of 50 – 250 MW(e) with technical, legal and commercial input;
• Assessment and reporting of project potential and progress along the value chain of development, financing, construction and operation, for authorities, customers, partners and executive boards;
• Technical, legal and commercial preparation of establishment of Special Purpose Vehicles to manage development and investments;
• Preparation of financial and business models for structuring financing and allocating equity;
• Support of the corporate planning process with strategy and market analysis and in-depth knowledge;
• Country research and site assessment for their fit with requirements for solar thermal power plants.
