Based in The Netherlands our customer has build up a wealth of experience in large scale solar/PV power plants projects and providing a range of services across the full lifecycle of an asset. The Project department in responsible for the realization and operations & maintenance of large scale solar/PV projects (turnkey EPC) throughout the world, but focused on Europe. The projects are developed by internal project development team or by external parties.
As Sales Manager Projects you are responsible to acquire new projects. Focus countries will be Italy, France, Spain and Belgium.
The sales manager must ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded
Managing the relationships of existing clients and generating new sales leads
You identify and negotiate with new and existing clients. As a go-between you analyze and translate the desires of your customer within the possibilities of the organization.
Liaising closely with project developers and other sales departments (module sales) and gaining an understanding of developing technologies
Work out offers for EPC turnkey projects and the secure the contracting
Develop the market and work out offers for corporate frame contracts with major multi site and multi country customers
There will be frequent communication with engineering and commercial teams and you will work closely with the Director Projects.

You offer a HBO or University degree or similar working level and a proven track record in sales management or related position. Typically, you have an engineering degree and did additional commercial courses, or you have a proven commercial experience build up in former jobs.
You have worked in a relevant sales position.
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to define and manage a business case and/or plan
A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience, especially worked on corporate and multi country accounts
Proves experience in dealing and managing long and complex sales processes
Excellent negotiation and contracting skills
Candidates will have solid experience of selling engineering services
Fluent English speaker, multilingual preferable (eg. Italian, Spanish, French, German)
