Your job | Business / Project Development Manager

Create and identify solar based investment opportunities

It is your responsibility to identify and assess project development opportunities considering all relevant criteria, commercial, technical, financial, permitting and regulatory.
You identify and secure suitable project locations, negotiate land leases and easements and manage landowner relationships. You understand and evaluate the business potential in the various European regions and support our country organizations on solar projects. You build business cases and develop large scale solar projects up to financial close.
In a further phase, you contract local business partners such as local developers/promoters, consultants and contractors. Aiming to constantly enhance and expand our business position, you maintain and develop relationships with appropriate governments, regulatory bodies and legislative officials. Your broad knowledge and experience allows you to advise in tax, financing and regulatory related research and negotiations. On a daily basis, you cooperate with the country Business Unit Manager(s) and the Project Manager and report to the Director Business Development.

Your profile | Business / Project Development Manager Solar

You have proven experience in developing large scale (Solar) Projects. You have a sound technical expertise and/or demonstrated understanding of solar engineering and construction issues. This allows you to assess the technical viability of projects and comprehend potential issues regarding permits, financing or construction. Furthermore, you have acquired a thorough understanding of the permitting and regulatory issues and environmental aspects combined with the ability to manage the project development risk appropriately.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with outstanding diplomatic and business skills allow you to interact with and influence people at all levels. You can boast a formidable record of successful delivery with regards to complex projects and have an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects. An understanding with structural project management methodologies and the ability to comprehend and interpret architectural and engineering drawings are a plus.
