BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH is responsible for activities in the field of renewable energy. We develop, realise, advise on and provide support for projects around the world in the areas of solar, wind and bioenergy. In addition, we offer operations management and plant maintenance as well as wholesale photovoltaic components, energy trading and renewable energy solutions for corporations.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in the Netherlands and are currently looking for a Wind Developer.

Your Tasks

  • Originates wind projects opportunities in the Netherlands, both ‘greenfield’ and ‘brownfield’
  • Analyses wind projects (including technical/development DD and commercial negotiations), with internal/external expert support, secures internal approvals and supports the Country Director, Benelux in M&A transactions
  • Manages operating relationship (including contractual obligations) with co-development partners
  • Drives development & permitting process of projects to ensure a timely ready-to-build status is achieved
  • Manages relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. municipalities, DNO, TSO, regional bodies, landowners)
  • Coordinates internal teams (e.g. legal, engineering) on origination and development activities and reports to the Country Director, Benelux

Your profile

  • From 3 to 6 years of experience in development of renewable energy (preferably Wind) projects in the Netherlands
  • Deep knowledge and experience in site-securing, interconnection and permitting processes of renewable projects
  • Experience in renewable project acquisition transactions (e.g. NDA, LOI, HoT, SPAs, etc.) and working with external advisors
  • Profound understanding of financial modelling, experience with PPAs is a plus
  • Wind resource assessment software and GIS competences (WindPro, ArcGIS, CAD,…) is a plus
  • Exceptional to-the-point communication skills
  • Superior team-coordination capabilities and a technical and digital-mindset
  • University degree
  • Native in Dutch, fully fluent in English
