What are you going to do?

We are looking for a new colleague in the Dutch Energy Pool team, who will be managing commercial partnerships with Dutch renewable energy generators. These actors are facing challenges as their revenues are no longer guaranteed by subsidies. Now they operate in a merchant environment and need to acquire capabilities to manage and control their portfolio of generation assets, make production forecast and optimize revenues 24/7.

Our software solutions enable them to do exactly this and the demand for these is rapidly growing. Over the last decade we heavily invested in our product and we are now ready to scale. 

Your main responsibility is to realize hypergrowth within this sector in the Netherlands by building deep relationships, and deliver solutions that address their challenges, sometimes in collaboration with local partners. You will be an integrated part of the Dutch Energy Pool team, however will also collaborate closely with international colleagues in the business lines, R&D and business development to develop and deliver new innovative solutions and services.

That’s why you will be responsible for the entire partnership lifecycle, and be the single point of contact from establishing new relationships, settling agreements, coordinating solution implementation, and take responsibility to deliver value as agreed. Your responsibilities are therefore twofold Sales Management and Customer Success Management.

Sales Management

  • Build and manage own pipeline of prospects and projects
  • Build and develop long term commercial partnerships with new and existing relations 
  • Lead offering and tendering process from elaboration and design of the offers to the customer engagement (with support of international legal and technical experts)
  • Represent Energy Pool locally and internationally at seminars

Customer Success Management

  • ​​​​​​​Coordinate successful integration of new clients in Energy pool portfolio
  • Proactively propose and identify new value streams for our commercial partners
  • Be the interface between operational team and customers to meet service level agreements
  • Work closely with business development team to develop mid to long term strategic offers

What do you offer?

  • Proven track record of delivering results in a techno-commercial role
  • Commercial experience in renewable energy and/or Energy Trading and/or Sales of complex products/complex customers is considered an advantage 

Skills and competencies

  • You have a strong business acumen and deep understanding of renewable energy business model, performance metrics and underlying value drivers. 
  • You are bright and can quickly identify a company’s deep needs
  • You can develop networks and build mutual trust to establish long-term relationships
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills. You can simplify complexity.
  • You are ok with travelling extensively. Primarily in the Netherlands and Western Europe
  • You are fluent in Dutch (native), and English and/or French

Where will you be working?

To contribute to a planet that runs entirely on clean energy, that’s what they burn for at Energy Pool.
